INTRODUCING THE CALABAR FESTIVAL STREET DANCE CHALLENGE
There's something new and fresh coming to the Calabar Festival in 2017. You thought you had seen it all, with the Calabar Carnival, the Concerts, the Carnival Competitions...but now the Cross River State Government in collaboration with Ridgeview Media Limited presents..."The Calabar Festival Street Dance Challenge" otherwise known as the “CSDC”.
The CSDC is a talent hunt show created to discover the best street dance crew in Nigeria. It is another milestone by the Cross River State government in its unflinching desire to showcase the proud culture of the region and the country in a bid encourage excellence in the younger generation through arts, skill and creativity.
With auditions set to hold across the country, from Lagos, to Abuja and Owerri, it will provide a unique opportunity for dance groups all over the country to converge in Calabar and take part in a mother of all dance battles, so if you are a dancer, choreographer, or the head of a dance crew, get your crew together and keep your ears to the ground... follow the hashtags #CalabarFestivalStreetDanceChallenge #CSDC on twitter and instagram, because you and your dance group stand a chance of winning a part of the N23 million up for grabs and the bragging right of "Best Street Dance Group" in Nigeria.
