Sammie Okposo on stage

Last Night, Tuesday 16th September, 2014 was the Sammie Okposo Praise Party and he assembled some of Gospel Music's finest at the Main Auditorium of the University of Lagos.

It was an amazing concert with lots of powerful vocal performances, praise and worship, comedy and lots and lots of DANCE!!!

The event started a few minutes behind schedule, but once it did, it was back to back performances of inspirational songs to lift the soul. Award winning Singer Pita was invited on stage by Sammie and he dropped a few lines of his hit songs 'Light up my World' and 'Ebube'. After which, Sammie led the audience in a medley of some of his favourite songs, which really amped up the crowd.
Tehila Crew

Next on stage were the Tehila Crew who started out with a lovely worship song 'Holy' and got the crowd singing along with their lovely harmonies, after that they performed a medley of African praise songs that got the audience on their feet dancing and praising God.

Comedian Forever was called up on stage to enthrall the crowd with some jokes and he didn't disappoint, putting the audience in stitches. His performance was followed by the irrepressible Dannie who led the crowd in a worship medley showing his vocal dexterity, before performing one of his original compositions.

In between performances, Sammie Okposo and his band would take the stage to lead the crowd in some songs and further charge up the spiritual atmosphere.

Eno Michael
Eno Michael performed a few worship songs and got the crowd dancing to her hit single 'Bobo'.

Joe Praize
Joe Praize
Joe Praize was invited on stage to a great ovation, and his performance set the tone for the next few performances, he led the crowd into deep worship and asked that they should expect something specific to happen in their lives as a result of this experience.

Nikki Laoye
Nikki Laoye came up on stage and took the worship to another level as she introduced her new song, 'Mighty God', a worship song, which the crowd caught along immediately and began to sing along as they worshiped freely, she also infused portions of her popular award-winning single 'Only You'. After this, she turned the event on it's head as she invited her dancer on stage and turned up the heat with her hugely popular dance track '1-2-3'

Akporo
The next performer was Akpororo, who is mostly popular as a comedian, but shocked many when he began his musical set, reeling out remakes of popular songs like 'Son of Man' and 'He's Able'. His performance with his back-up singers and dancers drew comparisons from the crowd with international gospel artiste Tye Tribbet.
